  • My name is David T. Whitney. First of all I would like to Thank you for giving me the opportunity again for being the Juneteenth President, I am replacing Albert G. Neal a good president he was so good I asked him to be my Vice President.

    I am trying to educate the African Americans what Juneteenth is all about what our slaves went through so when we come together today for this celebration I would like you to think about what struggles they have overcome, they were forced to grow and pick cotton till their hands bled they did not have a choice to say “No I am not going to do it “. So when your parents send you off to school think about what you want to become because with education you can become the 2nd African American president as a nation we have come a long way to stop racism but we still have a problem in the schools we have a problem with bullying from Pre-K all the way through College we need to work hard to educate our kids to not to be afraid to tell someone...Read More

Di Mare Ph.D. (CSU Pueblo President), Dr. Maggie Lopez (Pueblo City Schools Superintendent), and Andrew Sanchez (Colorado Technical University Academic Site Director - Pueblo Campus).
